Dream Snatchers

Have you ever been around someone, who constantly has something negative to say about very single thing?
Most of us have! Sometimes you have to change your surroundings, when you want to accomplish your dreams and goals. Surround yourself with people, who will pray, push and pour information and knowledge Into your Spirit……
Not a dream snatcher!

A dream snatcher is someone, who has something negative to say every time you start to talk about your goals.
A dream snatcher is someone, who will try to hinder your progress.
A dream snatcher is someone, who takes from you.
So let’s check out some variable ‘Dream Snatchers’……

Dream Snatcher #1 Family & Friends:

I know this might be a hard one for some people, but your family and friends can kill your dreams. Not every family member will support your dreams, especially if they feel you are out of your mind for thinking you can achieve it. In order to follow your dreams, you have to start to identify those family members and friends, who start to puncture your visions and dreams. Be alert for the dream snatchers in your household! Is this person also quick to say, ‘Oh you can’t do that.’ or ‘Quit wasting your time, it’s never going to happen.’ This is when your discernment should kick in. Be careful of the company you keep, this is important when you start to share your dreams if they can’t support you, more than likely you need to evaluate your circle. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3

Dream Snatcher #2 Fears:

Our fears can definitely get the best of us, because there is always that small voice whispering what if it doesn’t work…. BUT Oh what if it does! We can talk ourselves out a dream by the things that we think. The bible says Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things(Colossians 3:2). When we start to cancel out fears and activate our faith that’s when mountains will begin to move. “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4

Dream Snatcher #3 Money:

Not having the amount of money to pursue your dreams can be a dream snatcher because in all reality it does take money to make your dreams come true. Majority of us were not born with a silver spoon in our mouths. We have to make a commitment to invest in ourselves….It may be $5.00 this week, $10 next week and $50 the next. Whatever you are able to save, save it. This is something I have started doing for myself. It will definitely take some discipline

“Then the Lord answered me,
“Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly. The vision will still happen at the appointed time.
It hurries toward its goal.
It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it.
It will certainly happen. It won’t be late.” Habakkuk 2:2-3

Something I’ve learned along the way, is that you can’t share your VISIONS & DREAMS with everyone! Pray for a Tribe who is for you and will support your crazy dreams!
