$39,000 Louis Vuitton Airplane Themed Bag

By Toyia Thrives

Glamour, high fashion and the beauty world are forever evolving and wowing us on a daily. I grew up in the country far from the city lights. I always loved going to Dallas, Houston and especially Phoenix, Arizona during the summertime to shop for school clothes. These cities were always ahead when it came to fashion. Fashion makes you unique and it allows you to express yourself. Let’s just say I watched a lot of Disney, BET, MTV and collected magazines to stay in the know.

I began to love name brands like Sean John, Versace, Dooney & Burke and, of course, Louis Vuitton. The creativity each one of these designers has amazes me. As an adult I’ve lived in cities and have seen both sides of fashion. I love the uniqueness of high-fashion and the craziness of it every now and then. It wows me when high-end luxury brands create expensive and ridiculous pieces of art.

I definitely respect the latest Louis Vuitton product taking the internet by storm. It’s a bag from the new Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2021 menswear collection by artistic director Virgil Abloh. It’s shaped like an airplane and by the way it costs $39,000.  From my understanding you can purchase a real airplane for less than the cost of this bag. I can’t wait to see which celebrities will be rocking this bag!

Most women love purses and bags especially a good luxury purse. To my purse and bag collectors will you be adding this luxury bag to your collection?

What’s On The Menu?!

The Villa Tyler, aka The Villa di Felicita, located on 7891 Hwy 110 North in Tyler, TX , has taken on new management; and a new attitude when it comes to events!  They orchestrated their Open House on March 2, 2021 for East Texasbrides and grooms looking for ideas on their big day.  There were several amazing vendors showcasing the best of the best for their products/services, and it was definitely a night to remember!

Among the Djs, photographers, and florists in the bunch; there were outstanding caterers. Rose Hill Catering from Tyler, Texas, was one of the three catering companies that graced ourpresence with their amazing Chicken Milano, Homemade Meatballs, Crab and Cheese Dip on crackers, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Wedding Cake Push-Pops.  I must say Erica (the owner) did her thing with the Crab and Cheese Dip, and the Strawberry Cheesecake!  That was the best thing I’ve tasted as a wedding dish.  Show them some love and support at https://easttexasweddingvenue.com/.

Perfect Catering from Longview, Texas, was in the building with their famous Thai BBQ Meatballs that make you want to slap your momma!! I’m usually not a fan of meatballs, and think that it is the most generic dish you can have at a wedding.  BUT THESE MEATBALLS!!!!  You just have to try them… trust me, you won’t be disappointed!  She also had Shrimp shooters with Cilantro Lime cocktail sauce and Bacon Bleu Spinach and Artichoke dip with toastees.  To see what I’m talking about, go to https://perfectcateringonline.com/ to place your order!

Last but definitely not least, we have the adorable Kool Kakes by Dylan from Tyler, TX.  Now, this guy is talented!!  His cakes are absolutely beautiful, and they taste divine.  He brought samples of white almond, chocolate fudge, and red velvet cakes.  My favorite is the red velvet cake.  Most cakes are either too dry or too moist, but Kool Kakes by Dylan is just right!  Make sure you follow him on Facebook, and most  https://www.facebook.com/KoolKakesByDylan/

Stay tuned to see what the new Villa of Tyler has in store for East Texas!  They have changed some things, and will be opening up their venue to more events and parties.

Dating As An Entrepreneur

Dating As An Entrepreneur

Busy, busy, busy… seems like that is the language of every entrepreneur in the world! I don’t have time to date. I don’t set aside time to date. My business is more important right now. I don’t have the energy to date. Sound familiar? Yea, I’ve heard it all! Some of those excuses may be true, but they are exactly what they are… excuses. Dating as an entrepreneur is not as hard as some people make it. Just like you have a schedule for the work that you do, you should have a schedule for dating. Well, Jen, the pickings are slim! Trust me, you haven’t said anything but a word! But guess what, there are eligible bachelors out there that understand your hustle and respect it. Some of them are entrepreneurs, some of them are not. They are unicorns nonetheless, but they’re out there! Lol!

Here’s what has worked for me since I’ve started dating….

•Set aside one night a week or every other week (whichever works best for you) to go on a REAL date. Meaning, he picks you up (or if it’s the first date, you meet him at the designated spot) at a certain time and you go somewhere that you can either have fun or have a good conversation. Do NOT treat this date like a business meeting! This is a time to relax, let your hair down, and talk about something other than work.

•Don’t rush. I know some of you have been in the entrepreneur game for a long time, and you’ve been single the entire time. There’s nothing wrong with that. Just know that when you are ready to date, pace yourself and don’t make decisions based on your feelings. Even though dating is not a business transaction, I recommend that you keep your eyes and ears open for deal-breakers.

•Trust your intuition. You’ve gotten this far in your business successfully by using it. Dating is no different. If something just doesn’t sit right with you about your date, trust it and keep it moving. You control whether you set another date. Don’t feel bad about what you sensed. You sensed it for a reason, and it could be a warning for what is to come.

•Stick to your standards. You wouldn’t settle for anything less for your business. Dating is no different. This is where prayer comes in (for me, anyway). I have a conversation with God about what I’m looking for and want, he shows me what I need, and we come to an agreement. If someone tells you that your standards are too strict, it’s because they can’t live up to them. You know your worth, and what you have to offer. The man that’s out there for you will meet, if not exceed, what you’ve prayed for; so, don’t give up!

Lastly, beautiful… stay true to yourself. There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who is sure of herself. Not proud, or cocky, but confident. Men are attracted to authenticity. You can be dressed for the GODS!! But if you are not authentic in your approach you will lose. Don’t be surprised if you go on several dates… that’s just how it goes. But again, don’t give up; and be selective on how you spend your time, and who you spend it with. Vibes don’t lie.
He’s out there, boo! And he’s looking forward to meeting you.😊

Dream Snatchers

DREAM SNATCHERS

Have you ever been around someone, who constantly has something negative to say about very single thing?
Most of us have! Sometimes you have to change your surroundings, when you want to accomplish your dreams and goals. Surround yourself with people, who will pray, push and pour information and knowledge Into your Spirit……
Not a dream snatcher!

A dream snatcher is someone, who has something negative to say every time you start to talk about your goals.
A dream snatcher is someone, who will try to hinder your progress.
A dream snatcher is someone, who takes from you.
So let’s check out some variable ‘Dream Snatchers’……

Dream Snatcher #1 Family & Friends:

I know this might be a hard one for some people, but your family and friends can kill your dreams. Not every family member will support your dreams, especially if they feel you are out of your mind for thinking you can achieve it. In order to follow your dreams, you have to start to identify those family members and friends, who start to puncture your visions and dreams. Be alert for the dream snatchers in your household! Is this person also quick to say, ‘Oh you can’t do that.’ or ‘Quit wasting your time, it’s never going to happen.’ This is when your discernment should kick in. Be careful of the company you keep, this is important when you start to share your dreams if they can’t support you, more than likely you need to evaluate your circle. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3

Dream Snatcher #2 Fears:

Our fears can definitely get the best of us, because there is always that small voice whispering what if it doesn’t work…. BUT Oh what if it does! We can talk ourselves out a dream by the things that we think. The bible says Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things(Colossians 3:2). When we start to cancel out fears and activate our faith that’s when mountains will begin to move. “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4

Dream Snatcher #3 Money:

Not having the amount of money to pursue your dreams can be a dream snatcher because in all reality it does take money to make your dreams come true. Majority of us were not born with a silver spoon in our mouths. We have to make a commitment to invest in ourselves….It may be $5.00 this week, $10 next week and $50 the next. Whatever you are able to save, save it. This is something I have started doing for myself. It will definitely take some discipline

“Then the Lord answered me,
“Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly. The vision will still happen at the appointed time.
It hurries toward its goal.
It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it.
It will certainly happen. It won’t be late.” Habakkuk 2:2-3

Something I’ve learned along the way, is that you can’t share your VISIONS & DREAMS with everyone! Pray for a Tribe who is for you and will support your crazy dreams!
